Festival of Lights

A visionary wish and an imaginative dream inspired the “Festival of Lights” in Hallettsville, Texas, which is the county seat of Lavaca County. In September of 1996, a small group of wonderful people decided to inquire if our community would support their vision of a Christmas Celebration.
Through perseverance and an amazing group of community members, churches, city and county officials, is when the inspiration for Festival of Lights was born Their quest was received with overwhelming anticipation.

Therefore; the Festival of Lights committee set forth their mission statement: “Celebrate with us our Past and enjoy our Present so that you might catch a glimpse of our Future while we feel the Peace, envision the Hope, celebrate the Joy, and share the Love of Christmas.”

The “Festival of Lights” is about celebrating the holiday season with a little extra magic spirit for the kids and the kids at heart.
