World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational
If you’re a fan of golf and you live anywhere near Northeast Ohio, you won’t have to travel far to experience one of the most prestigious professional golf tournaments in the world. Firestone Country Club in Akron, once again serves as host to the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.
One of three events in the famed World Golf Championships series, the Bridgestone Invitational is a destination for not only the world’s best golfers, but also fans from around the world. Record crowds have watched the likes of Tiger Woods, Darren Clarke and Stewart Cink claim victory at this event – in fact, the world’s No. 1 player, Woods, has won the event an unprecedented six times in nine starts at Firestone Country Club.
