Devils Lake
Devils Lake is the largest natural body of water in North Dakota, making it a premier vacation destination for all four seasons of the year. Devils Lake covers more than 122,000 acres and has hundreds of miles of shoreline enhanced by thick, wooded foliage and rolling hills. Sport and fun on the lake abound with boaters, water or jet skiers, tubers, and anglers making a splash in the summer heat. The large shoreline also offers scenic camping areas and beautiful scenery that makes hiking, biking, and walking a special treat. Field and Stream Magazine listed Devils Lake among the Top 10 Best Walleye Lakes in the United States. Bountiful schools of jumbo perch has earned the reputation of being the "Perch Capital of the World." In the fall hundreds of thousands of waterfowl migrate through the area and give both local and visiting hunters outstanding hunting opportunities.
