Lake Corpus Christi

Impounded in 1958 lake Corpus Christi is a Nueces River watershed lake located in San Patricio, Live Oak, and Jim Wells counties. It has a surface area of 18,256 acres and a maximum depth of 60 feet.
Aquatic Vegetation
It is noted for it's isolated beds of water stargrass, American pondweed, coontail, cattail, rushes, water lettuce, and high densities of water hyacinth. The predominant fish species are Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Crappie, Catfish,(Blue,Flathead and Channel) along with Sunfish and
Bluegill.
