Old Independence Regional Museum

Featuring historical exhibits and research materials from 12 counties that comprised the original 1820 Independence County. Active program of temporary exhibits and special events year-round; housed in a former National Guard Armory built as WPA Project in 1936; constructed of locally quarried sandstone.
