Historic Churches
Wesleyan Church – In 1879 it was originally Presbyterian, then it became the FIRST Nazarene church established West of the Mississippi River. This is the original frame building, although it is now closed.
Church of Christ – The church was organized in 1876 and over the years it moved throughout the county and finally settled at its present location in 1944.
Christian Church – The church was organized in 1884, the present building was built in 1890, and now houses a local business. 304 N. Pine.
Babtist Church – The present building was completed in 1908 after the original church built in 1886 burned in 1906. An annex was added in 1928.
