Bonne Terre Mine

World’s largest manmade cavern, parts of it are filled with billions of gallons of crystal-clear water, is a year-round SCUBA diving mecca. Walking and boat tours explore remote portions of the mine and underground lake’s 17-mile shoreline. Dived and filmed by Jacques Cousteau, a National Historic Site, A National Geographic Top 10 Adventure.
