Considered a stalwart of the jazz scene, pianist Cyrus Chestnut began his astonishing career alongside Wynton Marsalis, Terence Blanchard, and as a member of Betty Carter’s trio. Part mystic, part purveyor of pure joy, he uses his gospel roots to transmit his joyful affinity for early jazz forms, revealing “an orchestral command of the keyboard and a sophisticated sense of swing” (People Magazine). Featuring Chestnut on piano, Michael Hawkins on bass and Neal Smith on drums.
