Congregation Emanuel Temple

1891. Brick Romanesque Revival style synagogue which is Statesville’s oldest religious building. Round-arched main entrance and stuccoed buttresses with corner buttresses having cast metal finials with the Star of David. Note marble tile floor and cast-iron fence is original. the interior remains exactly as it was when the structure was built and includes a hand-painted frieze (artist unkown).
