Fontenelle Forest Nature Center

1,400 acres of woods, wetlands and waterways, featuring deep ravines, loess ridges, more than 40 varieties of trees and over 200 species of birds. Seventeen miles of trails lace the site, including two barrier-free boardwalks. The Hitchcock Wetlands Learning Center offers exhibits, visitor services, classrooms and 3/8 mile boardwalk to a wildlife observation tower on the edge of Great Marsh. Camp Brewster (within Fontenell Forest) offers year-round nature programs for pre-schoolers. Hundreds of nature programs and environmental education classes are offered year-round for the general public, schools, and youth groups.
