Mari Sandoz Room Museum

This museum on Gordon’s Main Street is rich in pioneer history, which is documented by native author, Mari Sandoz, eldest daughter of “Old Jules Sandoz.” Her writing captured the spirit of both Indians and early settlers of Pine Ridge.

Mari Sandoz books and other books and material about the area are for sale, and copies of any of the material in the reading room can be made on the premises. Also the Tourism Information Center, the Mari Sandoz Room offers a wealth of information about Mari and the area.

Tours are available throughout the summer, and by request beginning in May.
