Ozawkie

Ozawkie is located on highway K-92 on the west shore of Lake Perry. The present day city is actually the second comunity to bear the name. The original Ozawkie was flooded when Lake Perry was constructed. Ozawkie was the original county seat of Jefferson County and was named for a Native American chief of the Sauk Tribe.
