Annual Kiamichi Owa Chito Festival of the Forest

The Owa Chito Festival of the Forest is held annually the third weekend in June at the Beavers Bend Resort Park. The festival features such competitions as the naming of the “Bull of the Woods” lumberjack, turkey calling and canoe racing, as well as children’s games and art show.

The three day festival also attracts top-name musical entertainers performing on stage at the Riverfront Amphitheater. Past festival performers have featured such well-known singing artists as Vince Gill, Reba McIntire, Hoyt Axton, and John Anderson.
