Blacksmith and Pioneer Days

Come join us in Summerfield, KS for a weekend of fun at the Transue Bros. Blacksmith Museum. There will blacksmithing, marble blowing, dutch oven cooking, skull painting and furs, Pine needle baskets, wood carving, pie needle jewelry, butter making,bowls made out of gourds, mountain men, skits both days, the Homestead Dulcimer, the Windy River Dulcimer, Hand made flutes and whistles, wool spinning. Come see the smoke and big bangs as the cannons are coming.

Bring a lawn chair and watch the gunfights and ride the Overland Stage Coach. Lunch available on Saturday, and a Sunday brunch will be available at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Center north of the Museum after the All Denomination Old Time church service at 9:30 a.m..

Saturday only will be an old fashion homemade ice cream social (cakes, pies, brownies) from 2-4 p.m., music by Jim Hinze and the Dulcimer Clubs. The Kensington Chimers will be playing Saturday morning.

Fort Riley will be at the Museum with their encampment.
