Jon Faddis (trumpet); special guest Jimmy Heath (alto sax)

Jon Faddis, the prot’g’ of legendary jazz great Dizzy Gillespie, boasts superior trumpet skills and delivers truly memorable performances. Faddis served as musical director for the Carnegie Hall Centennial Jazz Band and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, plus he?s performed with a long list of jazz legends, including Sarah Vaughn, Oscar Peterson, and Duke Ellington.

Also performing is special guest Jimmy Heath, known to the jazz world as ‘Little Bird’ for his artistic resemblances to Charlie Parker. Heath, a master at the tenor sax, also plays the flute and alto sax.

Together, Heath, Faddis, and friends will pay tribute to Gillespie and Parker as they recount legendary jazz standards and perform a show that is second to none.
