Travel & Leisure Magazine ranked Chapel Hill no. 10 as America’s Best Towns for July Fourth Celebrations. This is one celebration you won’t want to miss!

This year gates open at 7 p.m. and family activities and fun are planned throughout the entire evening! The Soul Psychedelique Orchestra will be rocking the stadium with a huge band including strings and horns, featuring an accomplished male and female vocalist to bring to life your favorite songs: from 60’s oldies, to 70’s funk and disco, to the radio hits of the 80’s, 90’s, and today! Come see our roving balloon artist, visit our face painting stations, and compete in our inflatable sports challenges and carnival games. Our famous Watermelon Eating Contest will be in full swing once again, hosted by DSI Comedy. Grand prize winners will receive tickets to one of UNC’s upcoming footballs games this fall. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. sharp, so get there early and get your seat!
