National Day of the Cowboy
This annual observance celebrates the cowboy as symbol of the American West. Join the celebration of cowboy heritage, love of the land and in particular the Flint Hills region: barrel racing, calf roping, bull riding, leather stamping, face painting, buckboard rides and cattle calling. Rodeo queens and rodeo clowns also interact with guests, and mayor’s proclamation of Day of the Cowboy at Flint Hills Discovery Center. Fourth Saturday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
