Old Fort Railroad Museum

category : Museums
Old Fort continued to hold its status as the gateway to the Smoky Mountains through the post-civil war era as the railroad moved across the mountains and brought a new prosperity. The Old Fort Railroad Museum illustrates the impact of the railroad system on the region. Railroad and train exhibits, original tools, signal lights, furniture, and signs are housed in the historic Old Fort Depot building, built in the 1890s.
