Lake Isabella Fourth of July Celebration
Starting date:
Event Details
The Forest Service (FS) invites the public to another patriotic Independence Day celebration at Lake Isabella. The Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce, through a special use permit with the FS, will provide the visiting public with a spectacular fireworks show. The show will start around 9PM, with the fireworks being launched from Engineer’s Point. Fees at Auxiliary Dam, Old Isabella, Camp 9 Day Use, and South Fork Recreation Areas will be waived for spectators on Saturday from 6 pm until the end of the fireworks show around 10 pm.
FS personnel will be patrolling during the show to prevent the risk of wildfires. Fireworks of any kind are prohibited on FS land. Law enforcement will issue fines for any violations. Fire officials ask residents and visitors to acquire a campfire permit and follow regulations if they plan to build a fire, barbeque, or operate a camp stove outside of a campsite with a fire pit. Campfire safety is extremely important due to the dryness of the grass and brush.
You're guaranteed to have a great time if you celebrate Independence
Day with safety in mind.
