Full Moon Open House Ski, Snowshoe and Potluck and Artist Showcase Event.

The snow covered winter woods beckon again at the State Forest State Park's second 2011 Full Moon Open House. At dusk everyone gets their "glow on", glow in the dark jewelry provided by the State Forest State Park and the Rocky Mountain Nature Assn. Snowshoe or cross country ski the 6.5 mile groomed Gould Loop right from the Moose Visitor Center. The route is studded with glow sticks to guide skiers and snowshoers. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided along the trail at the Chocolate Cabin and food brought by all for the potluck will be available in the Moose Visitor Center. The Artist Showcase will be Patsy Barry's water colors and Lori Forest's oils. Come experience their beautiful art. The Full Moon Open House provides a break from cabin fever and an opportunity to discover the magic of moonlight on snow and maybe a moose. Temperatures drop when the sun sets, so be sure to bundle up.
