The Annual Beef Celebration in Solon, Iowa! Come visit us on Main Street for 2 days of fun and entertainment for the whole family the third week of July each year. Events include a parade, a 5k walk run, and musical entertainment. The entertainment is open to all who come at no charge!

Devonian Fossil Gorge

Historic floods during the summer of 1993 surged over the emergency spillway and eroded a 15-foot deep channel, exposing the underlying bedrock. Visitors can walk over acres of Devonian Age sea floor and get a first-hand look at fossils normally hidden from view. Gorge open dawn-dusk daily.
