Downtown Lawrence Farmers' Market

Mid April to mid November - The oldest Farmers Market in Kansas, offering fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, flowers, herbs, and crafts and live music on Saturday mornings.

Time: Tues & Thur 4-6:30pm; Sat 6:30-10:30am

The Saturday Market is moving to a larger location with more stalls for new vendors and abundant parking for patrons.

The Downtown Lawrence Farmers' Market's policy of requiring vendors to produce what they sell sets it apart from most of its area peers. Terri Gibbs of Lone Star Lake Bison Ranch added, "For us, the Lawrence Farmers' Market is all about community and the value of home-grown products. The Lawrence Farmers' Market has such a tremendous reputation for the integrity of its products, and that translates into both trust and reassurance in knowing where your food comes from."

With the move of the Saturday Market to its larger location, the Downtown Lawrence Farmers' Market is able to introduce several new features including the Market Square. This area is dedicated to the "three Es-eating, entertaining and educating." Located in the East Lot bordered by Rhode Island, the Market Square has ten picnic tables sheltered by large canopies and serves as the site for demonstrations and talks as well as the stage for one of the two bands playing at the market every week
