Annual Kansas State Fiddling & Picking Championships

Event Details
The Annual Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championship will include competitions in fiddle, featuring a separate youth division, flatpick guitar, fingerpick guitar, mandolin and banjo. There will also be championships awarded for mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, ensemble folk singing and the ever-popular miscellaneous acoustic instruments. Every fourth weekend in August.
Contest Time: Kick off, 12 noon Sunday to 5:00 PM
Saturday - 6:30 pm until too dark to play! - Besides the great music, the audience will be treated to a free ice cream social Saturday and past winner showcase and jam session. There will be free concerts, great food and special activities for the kids. Everyone is invited to join us for this late summer afternoon of music and celebration.
