Ellis County Fair

The Ellis County Fair is a celebration for 4-H members and other youth and adults to show off their creative skills, hard work and other endeavors to the community. These exhibits include visual arts, quilting, gardening, baking, photography and large animals such as steers, sheep, swine and horses and small animals such as rabbits, poultry, cats and dogs.

The entertainment side of the fair includes races, mutton busting, rodeos, concerts and a demolition derby. We also offer free entertainment on the midway, free nightly concerts by local bands, karaoke contests, balloon artists and a Safety Fair. A variety of indoor exhibits and commercial vendors are set up in the air-conditioned buildings.

The enlargement of the building facilities now provides one of the largest indoor air conditioned facilities in Northwest Kansas. The Ellis County Fairgrounds are open year round and used for a variety of activities.
