Event Details

Wings Over Wilson Midwest Slope Challenge is the annual remote-controlled model airplane challenge.

Combat and Warbird racing, ODR and Unlimited racing. Combat: 15 planes fly at once for 10 minute heets. The object is for one plane to knock another out of the air. The one remaining in the air gets a "kill" or point. Four or five rounds are flown and the one with the most kills is the winner. Racing: Two pylons are placed at the edge of the slope 100 meters apart. In ODR and Warbird, races are flown with four planes in the air at once. Five laps are flown and the first to complete the five is the winner. It is not a timed event. In Unlimited, only two planes are raced at a time. Again the first to finish the five laps is the winner.

Fun flying: There will be plenty of just fun flying where anyone can fly anything. This will be mainly before and after the official events. A make up day is used to complete any event as needed.
