Old Settlers Day is celebrated the last Saturday in July which has a full weekend. The Old Stagecoach Stop sponsors this Old Settlers Day. It is the oldest city festival. Events are scheduled in the City Park, one block west, along with food and craft vendors. For more information,
YMCA Duck Race
A day long highlight of Old Settlers Day is the annual YMCA Duck Race. Area businesses, organizations, and individuals decorate decoys to run the waters of the Roubidoux. Ribbons are awarded to the best outfitted quacker, as well as the fleetest webfoot. Proceeds benefit the YMCA.
