Experience something new and adventurous as you spend a Saturday in Seagrove. During the month of July the pottery shops in Seagrove have something new and exciting planned for you! Observe demonstrations of wheel throwing, carving techniques, raku firing and much more. Can't wait to get your hands in some clay? You can participate in hands-on activities during this special month long event. Try making pottery on the wheel or learn a hand-building technique. The potters are willing to share behind the scenes activities, so you can join in the fun! Shops are open from 10:00 - 5:00. Seagrove is located in the central piedmont of North Carolina where more than 100 ceramic artists call home. Visitors can shop galleries and studios from the town's center, extending to a 20-mile radius along the scenic NC Pottery Highway. North Carolina Pottery Center
The North Carolina Pottery Center's permanent exhibit of more than eight hundred pieces of pottery, artifacts, and photographs traces North Carolina's pottery history from prehistoric Native Americans to the present. Features six to eight changing exhibits each year. Gift shop on site.
