4th of July Fireworks Show

Event Details

Activities will begin at 1 p.m., and the fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m. The Wheezetones, a popular local classic rock and roll band, will perform from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m. The fireworks are sponsored by Pepsi-Cola and presented by Zambelli Fireworks. The show will be set to music provided by NRG Media/Broadcast House and broadcast on its five radio stations – B107.3 FM, Froggy 98.1 FM, 105.3 Wow FM and KLIN 1400 AM/94.5 FM. The Lincoln Journal Star also is a partner in the celebration. The City Parks and Recreation Department will provide free family activities beginning at 1 p.m. The activities include canoeing, disc golf, volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoes, carnival games, Bingo, box hockey and the "NEOS" interactive game. Youth stage performances are from 1 to 3 p.m. with a finale provided by the Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp. Food and concessions will be available beginning at 1 p.m. in the main parking lot. VFW Post 3606 will conduct a flag-lowering ceremony at 8:25 p.m.
