5K-10K run, Fun Run, 7:45am & 8:00am; 10:30am parade, sand volleyball, children's games. Art-in-the-Park by Harlan County Arts Council, 10:00am-3:00pm. Lunch in the park, burgers, Polish Sausage and Kraut, Taco in a Bowl, Homemade Ice Cream, Snow Cones. Little Tuggers Pedal Pull, 1:00pm. Free evening entertainment in the park. When Furnas County organized in late 1873, Beaver City was one of the voting places designated by Governor Robert Furnas, for whom the county was named. Competing with Arapahoe for location of the county seat, Beaver City was chosen for the honor by the people. This is where it has remained.
