Starting date:
Event Details
10:00 am to 6:00 pm (Rain Date, Sunday) We are inviting exhibitors from West Milford, Greenwood Lake, Ringwood, Warwick and the surrounding communities to share information on green living at the first annual Highlands GreenFest. The theme of the event is Live. Protect. Enjoy. The festival will include presentations and exhibits by experts in green building, organic foods, clean energy, alternative fuel vehicles, and sustainable living. Local environmental groups and outdoor clubs will provide information on protecting the environment and hands-on demonstrations to enjoy. Organized by Sustainable West Milford.
Environmental games, pony rides and face painting are just some of the activities planned for children. There will be local live music at the gazebo throughout the day and a wide range of food options, including organic, vegetarian and local fare. Environmental movies will be screened, and discussions facilitated, on the pressing environmental issues of the day. Vendors offering sustainable wares, such as those made with recycled or reclaimed, non-toxic and organic materials, are invited to participate.
Additional information including booth rates, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, as well as applications, will be available soon. Please note, applications will be reviewed to ensure that all participants support the theme of the day and the goal of the event. There will be no fee for non-profit and government groups to participate. Please save the date and reply to this email if you are interested in participating. Should you have an organization in mind that you feel will add to the day, please forward this email along for consideration.
Please visit the website for more information on the efforts of Sustainable West Milford in our local community. We will post information on the festival on our website as it becomes available.
