Each of the special guided tours will last two hours and be one mile of easy walking. Archaeologist Dennis Peterson will tell the history of this prehistoric and Native American mound center, of the excavations, and why some of the mounds line up for the solstice and equinox sunsets. Handicap Accessible. Tours at 11am, 2pm, 7pm.

Spiro Mounds Archeological Park
Oklahoma's only archaeological park, is a 150-acre site encompassing 12 southern mounds which contain evidence of an Indian culture that occupied the site from 850 A.D. to 1450 A.D. The Mounds are considered one of the four most important prehistoric Indian sites east of the Rocky Mountains.
