Fredonia, Kansas

SWING BY AND SEE WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT! Just off US400 between Wichita and Joplin.

Located at the rim of the scenic Flint Hills, the area is rich with recreational opportunities. The river valleys, range land and wooded hills offer exceptional hunting, outdoor living and trail riding. The three reservoirs and two state lakes offer boating, fishing, water skiing and trail hiking.

Fredonians like to have fun and celebrations, and several are planned throughout each year. Fredonia Flag Festival in June and the annual Homecoming Festival in early October bring out the locals as well as attracting many visitors.

Fredonia has grown from its 1868 start as the seat of Wilson County into an interesting, diversified community built on a solid foundation.

A piece of history can be found in Fredonia. Many homes and businesses date back more than 100 years. A drive through the city streets can bring a glimpse of the proud homes from the past, many lovingly restored.

Quiet, friendly and welcoming -- Fredonia is a charming place with a true calming, comfortable "hometown" feel.
