21 Republic Pumpkin Daze - Craft and food booths, pedal toy tractor pull and much more. Republic is one of the official sites for the "Great Pumpkin Commonwealth" the largest Giant Pumpkin organization in the world. Growers of all ages weigh their giant pumpkins, squash and watermelon in competition for local and international prize monies. The produce weigh-in is 8-10 a.m. and the Produce Awards begin at 1:30 p.m. Annually the first Saturday in October.
