5 Easter Egg Hunt - The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Clayton Community Park is annually held on the morning of Good Friday. The Egg Hunt is for children 6 & under and will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. The Easter Bunny will arrive by Fire Engine to meet and take pictures with the whole family! Plan to arrive early, parking is limited.

4 Clayton 5K Road Race - The annual 5K Clayton Road Race and Health Walk is held on the second Saturday in May on the streets of downtown Clayton. The start and finish line are at The Clayton Center. Runners and walkers age 7 and up, are welcome for the 5K and for those future-marathoners 6 & under there's the .1 mile Tot Trot.

This is a certified course by US Track & Field so timing chips and free T-shirts are provided! Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group and ribbons are given to all Tot Trot participants.

This event is Co-sponsored by Access Physical Fitness, with big help from area girl scouts and the high school volunteers of Clayton Youth Council.

29 Clayton's July 4th Celebration - Join the Town of Clayton for the area's largest Fireworks display at dark! Leading up to the show, there's games and rides, a corn-hole tournament, basketball skills competition, free Ice Cream and watermelon, a Clayton fire truck spray down and a free concert.

4 - 8 Clayton Harvest Festival - By far, the biggest event in the Town of Clayton, nearly 20,000 people fill downtown for this annual weekend of music, vendors, food, rides, performances and so much more for the entire family.

There will be carnival rides, games, motorcycle show, and food. Saturday will be the festival highlight with arts and crafts, a merchant auction, Clayton Idol Competition, an antique car show, and live entertainment throughout the day! Event times: Wed-Thurs 5-10pm, Fri 5-11pm, Sat 9am -11pm, Sun 1-5pm.

14 International Food Festival - Come and be a part of the International Food Festival held at St. Ann Catholic Church grounds on Hwy 70 between Clayton and Smithfield.

This year's International Food Festival will feature foods from the USA, Thailand, Philippines, Mexico, Colombia, Poland, Italy, Greece, El Salvador, Ireland, Honduras, Hungary and Guatemala, as well as the ever popular food venue "International Desserts".

There will be live international music and dance on stage throughout the day. Among the many entertainers will be the Mariachi band "Amanecer Tapatio", Barrowburn Celtic Band, the Filipino dance troupe Phil-Am, Black River Express Bluegrass Band, Wake and District Pipe Band and much more.

The Festival will also feature children's games and a silent auction. The event is open to the public from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm with free admission and plenty of free parking.

Jonathan Levin treats listeners to a rousing collection of some of the most horrible works for the piano, in the best sense of the word of course! The program includes famous numbers featured in horror movies and other pieces which have themes associated with menace in some way. 15 - 13 Lights on the Neuse - Come for family Christmas fun with a hayride filled with holiday lights and scenes. There is a candy shop and you can have your picture made with Santa! Friday after Thanksgiving through December. Event times: Fri & Sat 6pm-10pm, Sun 6pm-9pm.

21 Clayton Tree Lighting - Every year, several thousand people mark their calendars for the first Thursday after Thanksgiving because they don’t want to miss one of the biggest town events all year!

Clayton’s Main Street is closed for 2-1/2 hours of music, holiday cheer, a business open house, a live Nativity, and, of course, the traditional tree lighting at Town Square. Huge thanks to the wonderfully dedicated volunteers who help make this event possible each year! It's become such a big deal, that ALL THREE Raleigh/Durham television affiliates come to cover the festivities.
