Tuscola, Texas
The Taylor County town of Tuscola was established in 1899, originating in Jim Ned Valley (named for the famous Delaware Indian Chief) and became a stop for the Abilene Southern and Santa Fe railroads. Many buildings from the early 1900s line the downtown area.
Today, farming and agriculture are the community's main industries and the railroad continues to run through town. Tuscola is a part of the Texas Forts Trail where a historical marker about Jim Ned can be found in town.
