Anderson, Texas

The historic seat of Grimes County, Anderson was established in 1834 on La Bahia Road, the centuries-old Indian trail that stretched from Louisiana through Texas. During the Civil War, the local arms factory produced cannons, cannon balls, rifles, pistols, swords, and gunpowder.
