The Vance County Dept. of Tourism hosts several special events annually. The Independence Day Celebration at Kerr Lake every July with fireworks and entertainment and the "Show, Shine, Shag & Dine" antique and classic car show along with the "East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame & Reunion" event is held every October.
