Logan County, KS

Logan CountyExperience a lifetime impression as you capture one of Kansas' magnificent sunsets settling upon the prairies of Logan County, or marvel at the Monument Rocks, the first national natural landmark in Kansas. Our history reflects the Old West where the Union Pacific Railroad lines were built between Denver and Kansas City in the 1860's. William Cody and William Comstock competed in a buffalo shooting contest (Cody won and thus earned the name "Buffalo Bill"). General Custer and the 7th Calvary also were in this area.

Logan county is located in western Kansas just south of Interstate 70 and one county east of the Colorado line. The valley of the Smoky Hill River cuts a beautiful, broad swath through the county.
