Meade State Lake, KS
The first state lake in Kansas, Meade Lake is an oasis in the agricultural lands of Southwest Kansas. The state park and wildlife area are comprised of 803 acres of land and water and provide visitors with opportunities for hunting, fishing, bird watching, camping, swimming, and hiking. Boating is restricted to fishing boats, and campers can enjoy electrical hookups, a dumping station, bathhouse and beach.
Wildlife enthusiasts will find the lake area a wonderful observation ground. The wildlife preserve west of the lake provides great hiking and exploring. A new visitors center and a fish hatchery offer more learning opportunities.
