Sardis Lake, MS
Sardis Lake, on the Little Tallahatchie River, is one of four Flood Damage Reduction reservoirs in North Mississippi, Sardis, Enid, Arkabutla, and Grenada Lakes. A wide array of recreational activities are available, including fishing, boating, skiing, swimming, camping, nature walks, playgrounds, and picnicking. The 52 sites at Clear Creek are available with paved pull-outs, electricity, picnic tables, pedestal grills, ground grills, lantern hanger, impact pad, trash receptacle, and water hookups on some sites. The campground has four restroom facilities with showers. Clear Creek campground is not located on the water, however it is located in close proximity to the other amenities available in the area. John W. Kyle State Park has a golf course, swimming pool, and cabins.
Becoming operational in October 1940, Sardis Lake’s current annual visitation tops 5 million people. The 32,500 acre lake is popular with anglers and has a reputation for its abundant bass and crappie.
