Greenleaf State Park, OK
Greenleaf State Park is one of Oklahoma's most beautiful state parks, featuring a 930 acre, sparkling blue lake, cozy stone cabins and a peaceful atmosphere. It's the perfect setting for a restful, memorable vacation. One of Oklahoma's first seven state parks, the lake, cabins and other facilities were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The original buildings, constructed of native stone, remain a lasting and beautiful tribute to the young men who build them.
Greenleaf was on the edge of the "Wild West" and the Dalton Gang frequently passed through. Frontiersman Kit Carson made stops here on his way west. Sam Houston lived in the area for three years before he made his way to Texas and the history books.
