Lake Wister Trails

Hiking trails at Lake Wister State Park include the Lone Star Interpretative Trail, a 3/4 mile self-guided nature trail which winds through forest and up to a rocky ridge that runs through the park. The Lighthorseman trail is 3.2 miles one way or 6.4

Lake Wister Hunting

There are 28,300 acres serving as public hunting area, offering numerous waterfowl, quail, squirrel, rabbit and deer. A 2,000 acre Waterfowl Refuge is also featured, but hunting can be found at Wister Wildlife Management Area.
