The North Carolina Coastal Federation is the state's largest nonprofit organization working to restore and protect the coast. Formed in 1982, the NCCF has grown to serve more than 5,000 members and 200 member groups. The NCCF focuses on three main program areas:

Newport, NC Trails Located on Bogue Sound near Morehead City, Whipering Pines offers 140 full hook-up sites and a large outdoor pool. Guests enjoy paddleboats, miniature golf, a clubhouse with shower, a freshwater pond and camp store. Camping is offered year-round.

This peaceful park on the banks of Bogue Sound offers 72 sites for tents, campers or RVs. A bathhouse, pier, gathering room, recreational rental equipment, kid's playground and pool are available.
