Located in the beautiful Petrified Forest National Park in northeast Arizona, Field Institutes offer outdoor learning opportunities - the park is the classroom.

Classes will cover geology and paleontology, archaeology, human history and photography in this first season. We hope to be able to offer many more courses and opportunities for exploration and discovery in the coming years. PFFI provides and opportunity to explore the Petrified Forest with expert guides. - learn more about the fascinating events which sculpted this beautiful land - take part in and contribute hand-on with fossil excavation of an ancient lake - record rock-art (petroglyphs) on newly acquired park lands - learn how to use light and shadow to capture exquisite pictures of the Painted Desert Check out our website for a complete list of courses and fees.
