Out of Africa is located in Camp Verde at the base of the beautiful Mingus Mountains. This is a wildlife park located on 104 spacious acres where visitors can interact with over 400 animals from around the world. The animals enjoy natural, spacious habitats and share special relationships with their caregivers. Because of the close, personal encounters, visitors experience truly wild animals in the safety of safari vehicles, where giraffe are literally in your face. And to witness lions and tigers feeding right in front of you... it's a sight you'll long remember. The founders of the Park have developed unique features and fun ways in which the public can share in these one-of-a-kind wildlife experiences: the Serengeti Safari, the Wildlife Preserve and the Predator Feed.
The Serengeti Safari On the 45-minute Serengeti Safari Tour, you'll experience an authentic African Photo Safari. Traveling with expert park guides, you can expect personal encounters with giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and more. With park provided treats, you can feed the prides of lions or other big cats overlooking their domain and the prey animals you are among. Experience the heart of Africa in the heart of Arizona.
The Wilderness Preserve A one-hour educational tour on a tram or trolley brings you to the animals and the animals to you. The Wilderness Preserve has tigers, lions, wolves, hyena and other predators prowling in large, natural habitats. Caretakers are often in the habitats interacting with the carnivores. You can photograph the animals from unobstructed photo platforms and walk at your leisure among the Preserve's predator habitats. It is like seeing them in the wild.
The Predator Feed Follow our animal caretakers on the Predator Feed. Watch as they throw 800 pounds of raw food to anxiously awaiting carnivores in the Wildlife Preserve. This is an opportunity to see and learn how large animals, such as lions and tigers, eat in the wild. Feed days are Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 pm.
Tiger Splash Tigers love water and you can watch them play and swim with the people who care for them.
