Upon its opening in January, 2001, Sports Illustrated named We-Ko-Pa one of the 10 best new public golf courses in the world. Since that time, this desert gem has continued to garner more than its fair share of recognition including the prestigious "Development of the Year" award from Golf Inc. magazine.
Located adjacent to Fountain Hills on land owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, We-Ko-Pa (Yavapai for "Four Peaks") is routed through unspoiled Sonoran desert, free from residential or commercial development. In fact, there is not even an out-of-bounds stake to be found on this pristine course where endless mountain vistas provide the backdrop for the 7,225 yard, par 72 layout designed by Scott Miller.
The facility is complimented by a 21,000 square foot clubhouse that features a state-of-the-art golf shop, as well as a full service restaurant serving breakfast or lunch indoors or on the spacious patio.
