Stephenson County Historical Society Museum This lovely museum is housed in an Italianate home built by Oscar and Malvina Taylor in 1857. The Taylor home was the social center of Freeport in its time and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.


Admission: Adults: $3.00 Children 6 - 12: $1.00. Members: Free
Hours: May-Oct. - W-Su: noon-4pm. Nov.-April - F-Su: noon-4pm. Jan. by appointment. Closed major holidays.
