Pitch your tent under the stars! Camp along the banks of the Walnut River among the deer, wild turkey, and other wildlife native to South Central Kansas. Enjoy quiet and solitude, just minutes from downtown Winfield. The City of Winfield offers a variety of amenities and facilities to make your stay fun and comfortable at the Winfield Fairgrounds.

10.2 acres of primitive campsites
6.5 acres of campsites with 600 20-amp electrical services plus a limited number of 30-amp hookups
Limited water hookups (seasonal)

Year-round dump station (located near the horse barns)

Handicap campsites.

The Pecan Grove provides 44 acres of primitive camping and limited electrical services.

Tunnel Mill Park provides 11.3 acres of primitive camping.

Camping Fees per day:

Primitive Camping - $3.00
Discount rate for groups of 75+ - $2.00
Camping with Electrical hookups - $6.00
Discount rate for groups of 75+ - $4.00

Campsites are available year-round. Single units and groups are welcome. Group discounts apply for camping groups of 75 units or more.

Groups will include, but not be limited to companies, corporations, scouting organizations, clubs, schools, and sporting event sponsors. Groups shall contact the City Manager's Office at City Hall, to schedule and qualify for discounted rates.

Fee Collection
Collection can be handled by Park Department personnel, an on-site drop box or by paying at City Hall. It is requested that one member of a camping group be responsible for that group's fee collection.
