Bartell Hotel

This hotel, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was built in February 1880. The red brick hotel contained 66 sleeping rooms, dining room, kitchen, parlors, and office. The most unique dish served at the Bartell Hotel was "Buffalo Tongue Dinner." The Hotel once played host to Wild Bill Hickok, John Wayne, W.C. Fields, Gloria Vanderbilt, and Sally Rand. The proud structure now houses an antique shop, lounge, and restaurant.
