Built in the late 1800s, this hotel was originally known as the Brandt Hotel. This hotel sheltered the railroad crews and almost every hotel service for travelers during the years. At one time the hotel was refurbished with old furnishings to make it a pleasant and quaint place to eat. The current owner is now in the process of refurbishing it again to be operated as a bed and breakfast.
This beautiful building was constructed in 1931. It is constructed of Carthage and native stone. The Carthage stone, used on the outside for facing, gives the appearance of a granite building. All outside walls are backed up with eight inches of native stone.

It was constructed in 1938 and is an example of one of the many native stone buildings located in Alma. With its limestone exterior and red tile roof, it is considered one of the most beautiful high schools in Kansas.

Alma, KS MuseumsThis native stone church was erected in 1881. Peter Land and August Beutel were responsible for the construction of the church. The bell and tower were added in 1897, as a gift of Johann and Maria Klockman.
